Alors que le Directeur Général du Fond National de l’Éducation (FNE), Jean Ronald JOSEPH, avait clamé son innocence lors d’une conférence de presse tenue, le mercredi 17 avril dernier, dans le cadre du scandale de corruption impliquant l’institution qu’il dirige, une plainte a été déposée contre lui et ses complices le même jour, a fait savoir Me Caleb JEAN BAPTISTE.
L’homme de loi, qui dit maintenir les accusations de corruption portées contre le Directeur Général du FNE et ses collaborateurs, dénonce des menaces de mort dont lui et sa famille font l’objet pour avoir embrassé cette affaire. Cependant, Me Jean Baptiste informe qu’il ne se laissera pas intimider.
Me Jean Baptiste estime que des anciens cadres et hauts fonctionnaires de l’État seront frappés par des sanctions internationales, une fois ce dossier traité. Pour l’homme de loi, les personnes impliquées dans ce dossier n’ont pas d’autres choix que de répondre aux questions de la justice.
“Au cours des deux dernières années fiscales, plusieurs milliards de dollars et de gourdes ont été décaissés sans qu’aucun travail concret n’ait été effectué. “, dénonce Me Caleb JEAN BAPTISTE arguant que ces fonds ont été décaissés pour des projets bidons.
En Haiti, la corruption reste l’outil le plus adoré chez les dirigeants qui veulent, à tout prix, contrecarrer leur faim et leur pauvreté. Selon Me JEAN BAPTISTE, les responsables du FNE utilisent les dollars 50 de la diaspora pour s’enrichir et oublient la mission première de l’institution: « Participer à l’effort de l’éducation pour tous et de gérer les fonds destinés au financement ». 1 dollar 50 sur les transferts de la Diaspora; Quels résultats ? Pauvre Haiti !
