Mort du guide suprême Ali KHAMENEI : Téhéran confirme, qualifie l’attaque de déclaration de guerre et promet une riposte sévère
Les autorités iraniennes ont confirmé, ce dimanche 1er mars 2026, la mort du guide suprême, Ali KHAMENEI, tué lors de frappes conjointes menées par les États-Unis et Israël contre plusieurs sites à Téhéran. La veille, le Président américain Donald TRUMP avait annoncé son décès avant toute confirmation officielle de la capitale iranienne. L’Iran a appelé, ce dimanche, à venger la mort du guide suprême, Ali KHAMENEI.
Selon la télévision d’État, l’Ayatollah, au pouvoir depuis 1989, est décédé à la suite de bombardements ayant visé des installations militaires sensibles et des complexes sécurisés liés au pouvoir central. Âgé de 86 ans, il dirigeait depuis plus de trois décennies l’appareil politique, religieux et militaire du pays.
D’après des informations relayées par Agence France-Presse, plus de 200 personnes ont été tuées et 747 autres blessées dans ces frappes israélo-américaines. Les autorités iraniennes n’ont pas fourni de bilan détaillé distinct concernant la capitale.
À la suite de l’annonce officielle, le Gouvernement a décrété 40 jours de deuil national et sept jours fériés. Des cérémonies religieuses et des rassemblements sont prévus dans plusieurs grandes villes du pays.
La disparition d’Ali KHAMENEI ouvre une phase délicate de transition institutionnelle. Conformément à la Constitution iranienne, l’Assemblée des experts est chargée de désigner un nouveau guide suprême. Dans l’intervalle, des mécanismes provisoires ont été activés pour assurer la continuité de l’État.
Sur le plan régional, cette annonce intervient dans un contexte de fortes tensions au Moyen-Orient. Les frappes attribuées aux États-Unis et à Israël ont visé des infrastructures stratégiques iraniennes. Des responsables iraniens, notamment au sein des Gardiens de la révolution, ont affirmé que le pays se réservait le droit de riposter contre des intérêts américains et israéliens dans la région.
La situation reste suivie de près par la communauté internationale, alors que les risques d’escalade demeurent élevés. L’Iran continue d’envoyer des salves de missiles balistiques sur Israël au lendemain des attaques israélo-américaines.
Rappelons que plusieurs membres de la famille du guide suprême, notamment sa fille, sa petite-fille, sa belle-fille ainsi que son beau-fils,
ont également péri au cours de ces attaques.
