Des pompistes contactés confirment une rareté et évoquent, en coulisse, un blocage au terminal pétrolier de Varreux dans la commune de Cité-Soleil comme possible origine du problème.
Dans plusieurs zones, notamment à Delmas, des stations étaient incapables de servir, certaines ayant même fermé plus tôt que d’habitude. Plusieurs automobilistes, surpris par la situation, affirment que les pompes leur indiquaient ne plus disposer de réserve suffisante depuis la veille.
Cette absence de carburant a provoqué des files d’attente de plusieurs mètres. Discrètement interrogés, plusieurs pompistes assurent qu’une pénurie est désormais « inévitable », faute de réapprovisionnement depuis plusieurs jours. L’un d’eux, souhaitant garder l’anonymat, mentionne un blocage à Varreux sans fournir davantage de détails.
Les chauffeurs de taxi-moto, fortement touchés, signalent déjà une hausse des prix sur le marché informel. En face d’une station à Canapé-Vert, des gallons d’essence étaient proposés, hier mercredi 18 novembre 2025, à un tarif équivalent au double du prix habituel. Pour l’heure, aucune communication officielle n’a été publiée pour éclaircir la situation. Les autorités gouvernementales, notamment le Ministère du Commerce et de l’Industrie, font silence radio autour de cette nouvelle crise de carburant à l’horizon dans un contexte déjà fragilisé par la conjoncture sociopolitique et sécuritaire instable.
