Au retour de la CARICOM, le Premier Ministre Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ insiste sur l’autorité de l’État et détaille ses engagements pour Haïti
De retour de son voyage de deux jours, le Premier Ministre Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ a réaffirmé l’engagement de son Gouvernement en faveur de la sécurité, de la stabilité et du développement durable, à la 50e Réunion ordinaire de la Conférence des Chefs d’État et de Gouvernement de la Communauté Caribéenne (CARICOM). Le sommet s’est tenu à Saint-Kitts-et-Nevis autour du thème : « Aller au-delà des paroles : agir aujourd’hui pour une CARICOM prospère et durable ».
Lors d’un point de presse tenu au Salon diplomatique de l’aéroport international Toussaint Louverture, Monsieur FILS-AIMÉ a déclaré que le Gouvernement doit rétablir l’autorité de l’État sur l’ensemble du territoire national. Il a affirmé que la sécurité constitue la priorité pour permettre l’organisation d’élections générales libres et crédibles. Le Chef du Gouvernement a affiché sa détermination aux côtés des membres du Gouvernement, du haut commandement de la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH) et de représentants des Forces Armées d’Haïti (FAd’H).
Le Chef du Gouvernement a multiplié les rencontres bilatérales à Basse-Terre. Il a échangé avec le Secrétaire d’État américain Marco RUBIO, le Premier Ministre jamaïcain Andrew HOLNESS, la Secrétaire générale de la CARICOM Carla BARNETT et l’Émissaire régional Kenny ANTHONY. Les discussions ont porté sur la coopération sécuritaire, la relance économique et la coordination régionale en faveur d’Haïti.
Le Premier Ministre a indiqué que les partenaires régionaux ont salué la signature du « Pacte National pour la Stabilité et l’Organisation des Élections » par plus de 200 entités haïtiennes. Il a précisé que cette initiative traduit une volonté de privilégier le dialogue politique et les solutions nationales.
Le locataire de la Primature a également annoncé une contribution de plus de deux millions de dollars de la Finlande pour soutenir la réponse humanitaire. Il a confirmé des échanges avec les Émirats Arabes Unis sur les investissements et la sécurité financière, ainsi qu’avec l’Autriche sur l’octroi de bourses universitaires. Il a évoqué des discussions avec la Jamaïque, en vue de la réouverture de l’Ambassade d’Haïti à Kingston et du renforcement de la lutte contre le trafic illicite.
À la fin de son discours, le Premier Ministre Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ a remercié les États-Unis et d’autres partenaires pour leur appui au renforcement des capacités nationales de sécurité. Il a conclu que le rétablissement de l’ordre public demeure la condition essentielle à la tenue d’élections crédibles et à la consolidation des institutions démocratiques.
