À la 50ᵉ Conférence de la CARICOM, Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ sollicite un appui renforcé pour la sécurité d’Haïti
À l’occasion de la 50ᵉ Réunion ordinaire de la Conférence des Chefs d’État et de Gouvernement de la CARICOM, le Premier Ministre Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ a multiplié, ce mercredi 25 février 2026, les rencontres bilatérales en vue de consolider la coopération régionale et internationale autour des priorités d’Haïti : sécurité, réformes institutionnelles et organisation des élections.
En marge des travaux, le Chef du Gouvernement s’est entretenu avec le Secrétaire d’État américain Marco RUBIO, le Premier Ministre jamaïcain Andrew HOLNESS et la Secrétaire générale de la CARICOM, Carla BARNETT. Les échanges ont porté principalement sur la lutte contre l’insécurité, le renforcement des institutions et l’appui au processus électoral.
Lors de sa rencontre avec Marco RUBIO, le Premier Ministre a présenté le Pacte pour refonder la stabilité nationale, qu’il a décrit comme une étape politique majeure. Les deux responsables ont évoqué le renforcement des capacités opérationnelles des forces de sécurité haïtiennes, notamment à travers un appui logistique accru, la mobilisation d’expertises spécialisées et un soutien financier ciblé, en appui aux dispositifs engagés contre les groupes armés.
Avec Andrew HOLNESS, les discussions ont mis l’accent sur la coopération sécuritaire régionale et le soutien aux capacités de la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH) et des Forces Armées d’Haïti (FAd’H). Les deux parties ont également abordé les perspectives de relance économique et d’intégration régionale, avec une attention particulière au développement des pôles du Grand Nord et du Grand Sud.
Au terme de ces entretiens, le Chef du Gouvernement a réaffirmé l’engagement d’Haïti au sein des mécanismes régionaux. Les partenaires ont souligné l’importance d’une solidarité caribéenne soutenue pour accompagner le pays dans ses efforts de stabilisation, de relance économique et de retour à l’ordre constitutionnel.
