Deux individus armés ont ouvert le feu sur l’entrepreneur Robenson RENDEL dans la cour de la paroisse Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours, à Fragneau-Ville, Delmas 75, ce dimanche matin 5 janvier 2025. La victime a été attaquée alors qu’elle arrivait pour assister à la messe dominicale.
Selon le porte-parole adjoint de la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH), Monsieur Lionel LAZARRE, l’Homme d’Affaires de 37 ans était poursuivi par ces malfrats qui l’ont abattu au moment il s’apprêtait à entrer dans la cour de l’église. Robenson RENDEL a reçu environ sept projectiles devant son véhicule blindé, une Nissan Patrol immatriculée AA-44237, alors qu’il descendait de sa voiture pour rejoindre la messe.
Les assaillants, habillés en costumes, ont tiré à bout portant. La victime a été touchée à plusieurs endroits : quatre projectiles à la tête, un au cou, un sous l’aisselle et un autre au bras gauche. Le forfait une fois commis manu militari, les assaillants ont pris la fuite, en toute quiétude, à bord de plusieurs motocyclettes.
Le porte-parole adjoint de la PNH précise qu’en dépit des premières informations faisant état d’une attaque généralisée contre plusieurs fidèles, les éléments recueillis montrent qu’il s’agit bien d’une exécution préméditée et ciblée.
Un proche de la victime a confié que Robenson RENDEL était un fervent fidèle de l’Église Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours et ne manquait jamais la messe dominicale.
Il est important de noter que cet incident tragique est survenu en pleine matinée, lors du premier dimanche de l’année 2025, illustrant une fois de plus la montée inquiétante de l’insécurité dans le pays. Les riverains, sous le choc, redoutent que ces attaques ciblées ne s’érigent en des pratiques courantes si des mesures concrètes et efficaces ne sont pas rapidement prises par les autorités.
Un acte effroyable qui vient rappeler, une fois de plus, l’urgence d’une réponse forte et proportionnelle face à une insécurité galopante.
