Haïti – Insécurité : Le marché Cluny au Cap-Haïtien frappé par un incendie
Dans la nuit du samedi 24 au dimanche 25 janvier 2026, une portion du marché Cluny, au Cap-Haïtien, a été incendié. Maîtrisé difficilement par le secours, les autorités ignorent, jusqu’à date, l’origine du sinistre.
En effet, le feu s’est déclaré en début de soirée dans le marché Cluny, situé entre les rues 9 et 11. Ce marché, parmi les plus visités de la ville, a été partiellement détruit.
Dans une vidéo parvenue à la rédaction, on peut voir le feu se propager avant même l’arrivée des secours. Sur place, des médias locaux rapportent qu’ils ont fait face à un manque d’eau. Ce qui a ralenti les manœuvres des pompiers, qui l’ont finalement maîtrisé aux environs de deux heures du matin.
Toujours selon ces médias, des marchands, ayant leurs dépôts et commerces sur place, témoignent avoir tout perdu. Il convient de noter que, pour l’heure, les autorités n’ont communiqué aucun bilan sur l’ensemble des dégâts matériels causés par l’incendie.
