Haïti-Insécurité : Entre attaques simultanées et opérations d’envergure, la PNH en première ligne
La commune de Cabaret a été le théâtre d’un nouvel épisode de violence armée, le jeudi 20 novembre 2025. La Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH), appuyée par des combattants volontaires, a repoussé une incursion de gangs à Lévêque, neutralisant plusieurs assaillants et saisissant quatre motocyclettes.
Dans un communiqué, publié hier vendredi 21 novembre 2025, la PNH confirme que des membres des groupes armés figurent parmi les victimes. Certains ont été abattus lors d’échanges de tirs, tandis que d’autres ont été lynchés par des habitants dans des actes de justice populaire liés au mouvement « bwa kale ». Les autorités indiquent également que des éléments de l’Unité de Village-de-Dieu (UVD) prenaient part à l’attaque et que plusieurs d’entre eux ont été tués. Sur leur passage, les assaillants ont incendié une station-service à Bercy, provoquant d’importants dégâts matériels.
Cette attaque s’inscrit dans une semaine marquée par une multiplication des violences et une forte mobilisation de la PNH. Plus tôt, une opération d’envergure menée à Simon Pelé, dans la commune de Cité Soleil, a permis de démanteler plusieurs positions criminelles grâce au déploiement d’unités spécialisées. Plusieurs individus armés ont été neutralisés au cours de cette intervention.
Sur le plan stratégique, le haut commandement de la PNH a également tenu une séance de travail avec plusieurs partenaires internationaux, dont l’Italie, l’Allemagne, le Canada, les États-Unis, le Japon, le PNUD et l’Union Européenne. Les échanges ont porté sur les besoins opérationnels urgents de la police et sur les modalités d’un appui renforcé destiné à améliorer ses capacités d’intervention.
Ces actions montrent une PNH sous pression, engagée sur plusieurs fronts pour contenir la progression des groupes armés, tout en cherchant un soutien logistique et matériel indispensable pour renforcer son efficacité. Si la PNH intensifie ses opérations et tente de reprendre le contrôle des zones menacées, la réalité demeure préoccupante car la violence armée reste un défi majeur, profondément enraciné, que les autorités peinent encore à contenir malgré une mobilisation croissante.
