Arnaud VENANT assigné à la Direction générale du Ministère de la Défense
Le Ministre de la Défense, Mario ANDRÉSOL, a installé, hier mardi 24 mars 2026, Arnaud VENANT comme nouveau Directeur Général du Ministère de la Défense. La cérémonie s’est tenue en présence du Haut État-major des Forces Armées et des cadres du Ministère. Il remplace, à ce poste, Me Jean Ronel SISTANIS.
Lors de son allocution, le Ministre de la défense, Mario ANDRÉSOL, a rappelé les défis sécuritaires auxquels Haïti fait face. Il a souligné la nécessité de renforcer la structure du Ministère, pour mieux protéger le territoire national.
Il a également réitéré son soutien au nouveau Directeur Général, pour la mise en œuvre des réformes prévues. Le Ministre a insisté sur l’importance du leadership, de la rigueur et de la détermination. Le titulaire du MD a appelé le Directeur Général à répondre efficacement aux attentes du Gouvernement, dans la lutte contre l’insécurité.
Prenant la parole, le nouveau Directeur Général Arnaud VENANT a exprimé sa gratitude pour la confiance placée en lui. Il s’est dit engagé à servir la nation avec intégrité, humilité et un sens élevé du devoir. Il a annoncé sa volonté de moderniser le Ministère et de renforcer ses capacités opérationnelles.
S’inspirant du symbole du colibri, le DG a appelé à l’unité, à la discipline et à la mobilisation de toutes les compétences au sein du Ministère. Il a conclu en insistant sur l’importance d’une action coordonnée pour atteindre la vision de sécurité et de défense du Gouvernement.
