La musique haïtienne est plus écoutée que la musique dominicaine dans les zones frontalières, selon Guido GÒMEZ, Président de l’Institut dominicain des Télécommunications (Indotel). Ces propos ont été relayés par le journal dominicain Diario Libre.
Le journal rapporte que Guido GÒMEZ précise que, dans les provinces de la zone frontalière, les habitants consomment davantage de « kompa » haïtien que de merengue dominicain.
Le Président de l’Institut Dominicain des Télécommunications (Indotel), Guido GOMEZ Mazara, a qualifié de « très préoccupantes » les interférences radio haïtiennes dans la zone frontalière, une région où, selon lui, le « kompa » haïtien est plus entendu que le merengue dominicain.
Lors de sa visite à Hondo Valle ce week-end, le numéro un de l’Indotel a déclaré que «la seule station dominicaine qui peut être entendue dans cette municipalité est la 104 FM, installée à San Juan de la Maguana, et que toutes les autres stations proviennent d’Haïti».
Le Président d’Indotel a exprimé son inquiétude en ces termes : «Ce qui se passe est horrible et effrayant, car il s’agit d’une question de souveraineté», a averti Gómez Mazara lors d’une interview avec Héctor Herrera Cabral, dans l’émission D’Agenda, diffusée tous les dimanches sur la chaîne Telesistema 11 et TV Quisqueya.
Le Président d’Indotel a insisté sur le fait qu’il s’agit d’un problème complexe, mais que, dans un mois, l’institution qu’il dirige présentera un rapport sur la situation ainsi que les solutions envisagées pour résoudre ce problème.
