Une réunion d’une importance capitale a été tenue hier, jeudi 13 juin 2024, rassemblant le Premier ministre Conille Garry, des représentants de Pwoteksyon Sivil et des ONG humanitaires, sous l’égide du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition. L’objectif était de préparer les mesures nécessaires pour faire face à la saison cyclonique imminente.
Les discussions ont mis en lumière diverses stratégies visant à garantir la sécurité de la population et à atténuer les effets néfastes des tempêtes, en mettant un accent particulier sur les zones à risque et les populations vulnérables.
Parmi les points abordés, la mise à jour des plans d’évacuation et l’identification des centres d’hébergement d’urgence, le renforcement des infrastructures pour les rendre plus résistantes aux intempéries, ainsi que la sensibilisation de la population aux mesures à prendre en cas d’alerte cyclonique ont été soulignés.
Le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition s’est engagé, en collaboration avec ses partenaires, à coordonner une réponse rapide et efficace, en mettant l’accent sur la protection des citoyens, notamment des femmes, des personnes handicapées et des enfants, tout au long de la saison cyclonique à venir.
