L’état d’urgence sécuritaire qui a été décrété pour le département de l’Ouest et de l’Artibonite, du 19 juillet au 19 août 2024, est renouvelé d’un mois de plus, suite à une décision prise en Conseil des ministres. Cette fois-ci, le département des Nippes, le Centre, les arrondissements de Plaisance et de Limbé sont touchés par cette décision.
Dans un communiqué soussigné par le ministre de la justice et de la sécurité publique Me Carlos Hercule, ce lundi 19 août 2024, l’état d’urgence sécuritaire est maintenu sur les départements de l’Ouest, l’Artibonite, le Centre et les Nippes, ceci en vue de rétablir l’ordre, la paix sociale et la sécurité. Les arrondissements de Plaisance et de Limbé dans le département du Nord sont également en état d’alerte.
En application de l’arrêté pris sur l’état d’urgence le 12 août 2024, le ministère de la justice et de la sécurité publique sensibilise la population sur des mesures qui peuvent être entrées en vigueur sur:
la construction, la démolition d’ouvrage et déplacement de tout bien;
la fermeture d’établissement non protégé;
l’évacuation de personnes;
la suspension de services comme la communication routière, maritime, aérienne et téléphonique dans les départements et arrondissements concernés.
En ce sens, en cas d’insuffisance de moyens logistiques des services publics, des lieux et bâtiments d’hébergement privés pourraient être au service du gouvernement.
Des couvre-feux peuvent être survenus et toute circulation pendant l’horaire fixé est interdite à l’exception des pompiers, ambulanciers, personnels de santé et journalistes dûment identifiés.
Sans oublier, la vente et l’achat de feu d’artifice, est interdit sur toute l’étendue du territoire. Le Ministère de la Justice et de la Sécurité Publique (MJSP), dit compter sur la coopération de la population, tout en la conseillant d’appliquer les mesures édictées par le gouvernement qui souhaite porter une solution à l’insécurité qui sévit dans le pays.
