24 ans après l’assassinat du journaliste, éditorialiste et commentateur politique, Jean Léopold DOMINIQUE, le pays est plongé davantage dans l’abîme, malgré l’ordonnance du magistrat instructeur Yvikel Dabrésil, les auteurs; co-auteurs de ce meurtre odieux continuent de circuler en toute quiétude.
Le 3 avril 2000, des individus armés ont fait irruption dans l’enceinte de la Radio Haïti Inter, il était à peu prés 6h30 du matin, leur mission consistait à mettre fin à la vie du journaliste ce jour-là. Arrivé à la radio, Jean Léopold Dominique a été abattu alors qu’il s’apprêtait à présenter son journal de 7h. Même le gardien de la radio, Jean Claude Louissaint, n’était pas épargné.
Jean Dominique, une figure emblématique de la presse haïtienne, était la voix des sans voix. Ils s’adonnait à la lutte payssane, et la promotion de l’agriculture.
24 ans plus tard, cette affaire reste pendante par devant la Cour de Cassation. Des gouvernements ont essayé d’élucider l’affaire, et d’autres ont joué à l’autruche.
Les poursuites judiciaires n’ont pas fait long feu. Un éminent journaliste est mort dans des conditions macabres et inexplicables, cependant l’affaire reste clouée dans le tiroir.
Ainsi, en 2024, où la situation du pays se détériore, la crise socio-politique est à l’état stagnant, le peuple haïtien aurait besoin de cette voix pour dire non à tant de stupidités, non à cette politique abracadabrante. Si le fameux journaliste Jean DOMINIQUE était encore en vie, il ferait quoi?
