Les organisations politiques et de la société civile sont parvenues à faire le choix des membres devant constituer le Conseil présidentiel de transition. Edgard Leblanc Fils, Laurent St Cyr, Louis Gérald Gilles, Marie Ghislaine Mompremier, Leslie Voltaire, Fritz Alphonse Jean sont les noms de 6 des 7 personnes désignés pour diriger la transition. Former un nouveau gouvernement, désigner un nouveau Premier Ministre intérimaire et organiser les élections générales, telles sont les principales missions de ce Conseil. Mais, ce qui attire notre attention, “Les lavalasiens sont aux commandes !”
En route vers un Conseil présidentiel avec, pour la plupart, des membres venant de Lavalas de Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Les noms de 6 des 7 personnes devant faire partie du Conseil présidentiel de transition sont connus. 4 des 7 personnes désignées par les organisations politiques et de la société civile sont des actuels ou anciens membres très influents du parti « Fanmi Lavalas ». Le parti politique Pitit Dessalines, quant à lui, s’est démarqué de cette démarche. En rejetant l’offre de participer au Conseil Présidentiel (CP).
Le Conseil présidentiel de transition est composé de six membres. Le Collectif des partis politiques du 30 janvier a désigné Edgard Leblanc Fils, Fanmi Lavalas a fait le choix de Leslie Voltaire, Marie Ghislaine Mompremier est la représentante du regroupement EDE/RED et Compromis historique. L’Accord de Montana reste fidèle au choix de Fritz Alphonse Jean, Laurent St Cyr reste toujours le favori du secteur privé et l’Accord du 21 décembre a jeté son dévolu sur le Dr Louis Gérald Gilles.
Fritz Jean, Lesly Voltaire, Dr Louis Gérald Gilles, l’ancien sénateur, Edgar Leblanc Fils sont 4 personnalités venant du parti politique, Fanmi Lavalas, dirigé par l’ancien président Jean Bertrand Aristide.
L’ancien prête catholique fait son come-back sur la scène politique dans un contexte particulier marqué par un chaos à nul autre pareil.
Plusieurs partis tergiversent encore. Au moins, un parti politique majeur rejette d’ores et déjà cette entité « le Conseil Présidentiel », il exige sa propre coalition. Certains optent pour le choix d’un juge à la Cour de Cassation pour diriger la transition politique avec la formation d’un gouvernement de consensus. Ces derniers estiment que la communauté internationale, notamment les États-Unis, a déjà trop d’influence sur ce CP, donc ce serait davantage, tourner autour d’un vecteur faisant partie de ce chaos.
