Le ministre de l’Éducation Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle, Augustin Antoine a annoncé, ce mardi 6 août 2024, que la rentrée scolaire est fixée pour le 1er octobre 2024. La nouvelle année académique s’annonce dans un contexte pas trop différent de l’année dernière.
Alors que l’insécurité et la violence armée s’accroissent dans la zone métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince, les autorités éducatives ont retenu le 1er octobre comme date de la réouverture des classes pour l’année académique 2024-2025.
Le titulaire du MENFP, en a fait l’annonce lors d’une visite en compagnie du Premier ministre Garry Conille, au centre d’examen du Collège Canado Haïtien, pendant le deuxième jour des examens du baccalauréat.
On n’est qu’à quelques mois de la rentrée scolaire, plusieurs écoles privées et publiques sont toujours occupées par les déplacés internes. Certaines sont dysfonctionnelles en raison de leur zone géographique qui sont impraticables à cause de la violence.
