Le Premier ministre, Garry Conille, ne cesse de multiplier des rencontres pour trouver une issue à la crise sécuritaire. Elle a eu des entretiens avec le ministre de la justice et de la sécurité publique, Carlos Hercule ainsi que le Directeur Général de la Police Nationale d’Haïti, Normil Rameau, le 4 août 2024, suite aux exactions des bandits armés dans la commune de Ganthier.
Le tête-à-tête entre le Chef du Conseil Supérieur de la Police Nationale (CSPN), le numéro 2 du CSPN ainsi que le Commandant en Chef de la PNH, vise à aborder la crise sécuritaire dans la zone métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince. Jusqu’à date, le locataire de la Primature ne s’est pas toujours prononcé sur les mesures adoptées pour venir en aide à la population.
Aucune réponse de la part des autorités policières suite à la démonstration des gangs 400 Mawozo à Ganthier. Ce groupe dirigé par le dénommé, « Lanmò San Jou » ne cesse de terroriser la population Ganthieroise.
Après chaque acte crapuleux des bandits armés, le gouvernement ne fait que réitérer son engagement de faire régner l’ordre sur tout le territoire. Annonçant des mesures nécessaires pour renforcer la présence de la Police Nationale à travers le pays. Mais les bandits armés opèrent sans inquiétude aux yeux des autorités gouvernementales.
Les réunions s’accroîtrent de temps à autre sans vraiment aboutir à une solution concrète. l’État se trouve impuissant à passer de la parole aux actes alors que les hommes armés font le contraire. Ils occupent la majeure partie de Port-au-Prince et les autorités ne font que fuir pour eux.
Cette situation calamiteuse est une préoccupation pour les citoyens. Ces derniers, sont dépassés par les événements. L’insécurité reste encore un poids lourd pour les autorités haïtiennes.
