Quelques heures après la publication des résultats des élections américaines remportées par le candidat Républicain, Donald TRUMP, le Coordonnateur du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition, Leslie VOlTAIRE, a réagit suite à la victoire du milliardaire américain sur son compte X. Il a ainsi adressé ses félicitations au successeur de Joe Biden dans un message publié sur les réseaux sociaux.
Le candidat républicain, Donald TRUMP, a remporté l’élection présidentielle américaine face à la vice-présidente démocrate sortante, Kamala HARRIS. Le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition ne s’est pas montré indifférent par rapport au retour des Républicains à la Maison Blanche, à Washington, en janvier 2025.
Alors que plusieurs Haïtiens, notamment ceux résidents aux États-Unis, sont inquiets par rapport à cette élection, Leslie VOLTAIRE croit, de son côté, que cette élection va renforcer les liens entre Haïti et les Etats-Unis d’Amérique. Il dit attendre avec intérêt de collaborer pour promouvoir la paix et la sécurité dans le pays.
De l’autre côté, plusieurs centaines d’Haïtiens sont plongés dans une profonde inquiétude après cette élection. Car, bien avant les élections, le candidat Républicain avait déclaré que les États-Unis connaîtront la plus grande déportation de son histoire. Près d’un demi-million de migrants, notamment des Haïtiens, ont bénéficié du Programme Humanitaire Parole initié par le Président Joe BIDEN lancé en janvier 2023.
Toufefois, il est important de rappeller que le parti républicain contrôle les deux chambres du congrès. Face à cette situation une question reste et demeure: cette déportation massive, dont a parlé le 47e président américain, serait-elle une chose facile?
Les États-Unis vont, sans aucun doute, changer radicalement de politique économique, migratoire même diplomatique avec le parti Républicain qui est de retour à la magistrature suprême. Un retour en forme de revanche après le revers des Démocrates en 2020.
