Depuis la reprise des classes après les congés de fin d’année, plusieurs lycées de la capitale haïtienne n’ont pas réussi à trouver de professeurs pour assurer la continuité des cours. Les enseignants sont en grève et demandent aux autorités de les écouter et de répondre à leurs revendications.
En effet, des syndicats d’enseignants ont lancé une grève dans les écoles publiques pour exiger des autorités un ensemble de revendications, notamment ajustement salarial et augmentation, avantages sociaux, ainsi que la nomination des professeurs présents dans les salles de classe. Cette grève, qui dure depuis plusieurs jours, inquiète de plus en plus les élèves qui ont toujours fait les frais.
Un mouvement mal perçu par les élèves
Plusieurs élèves des écoles publiques ont exprimé leur désaccord quant à la grève des professeurs. Tout en reconnaissant la situation difficile des enseignants, ils estiment qu’ils ne devraient pas en être les victimes collatérales.
« Je suis bien conscient de la situation des professeurs, mais les différentes crises du pays nous maltraitent déjà, nous n’avons pas besoin de payer le prix des revendications des enseignants », martèle un élève qui préfère garder l’anonymat.
D’autres élèves estiment que ces arrêts de travail peuvent avoir des conséquences désastreuses sur leur réussite scolaire et en sont très inquiets.
Jonas, élève de Secondaire 4 dans un lycée de la capitale, nous confie sa grande inquiétude pour les examens du baccalauréat, si cette situation perdure. Il précise qu’avec une situation déjà complexe, il était déjà préoccupé, et la grève des professeurs a amplifié davantage ses inquiétudes.
L’éducation ne devrait pas être un luxe réservé à une élite, surtout en période de crise. L’insécurité affecte déjà gravement le processus d’enseignement et d’apprentissage. Les autorités ne devraient-elles pas intervenir rapidement pour éviter que la situation ne se dégrade davantage ?
