C’est la meilleure année que l’Administration Générale des Douanes ait jamais connu en matière de recette fiscale depuis son existence ! En effet, au cours de cette année, l’AGD a collecté au total 108 milliards 852 millions de gourdes pour une prévision fiscale de 90 milliards de gourdes.
Ce record est le fruit des réformes initiées au niveau de l’administration douanière, s’enorgueillissent les responsables de la douane.
Rien que pour les sept premiers mois de l’exercice fiscal 2022-2023, la douane avait collecté près de 55 milliards de gourdes, soit 105% des recettes de l’exercice précédent. Cette somme représentait également 68% des objectifs de recette fixés par le ministère de l’Économie et des Finances pour l’exercice.
Longtemps considérée comme l’une des principales sources de corruption en raison, notamment, de la contrebande, la douane a su; au cours de l’exercice 2022-2023, déployé des efforts pour augmenter l’assiette fiscale de l’Etat.
Néanmoins, plus d’un se demandent à quoi ont servi ces sommes collectées puisque, soutiennent-ils, les services sociaux de base laissent à désirer dans le pays. Le nouveau Directeur Général, Julcène EDOUARD, et l’administration ont fait leur boulot, mais le gouvernement a fait le contraire avec les sommes collectées.
