Droits humains : L’OPC outille ses agents du Nord pour mieux défendre les droits des citoyens
L’Office de Protection du Citoyen (OPC) a lancé, le mercredi 27 août 2025, une session de formation sur les droits humains à l’intention de ses agents dans le département du Nord. Cette initiative s’inscrit dans la continuité d’un premier atelier axé sur le droit à l’identité.
La cérémonie d’ouverture a été présidée par le Directeur Général de l’OPC, Jude JEAN-PIERRE, en présence de Jean-Simon SAINT-HUBERT, Coordonnateur de l’unité de recherche et d’enquêtes systémiques et point focal du projet Poto Mitan. Ce programme, intitulé Amélioration de l’accès et de la qualité des services publics, bénéficie du soutien d’Expertise France, de l’Agence française de développement (AFD) et de l’OMRH de la Primature.
La formation porte sur les principes fondamentaux des droits humains, tels que l’égalité devant la loi, la protection des populations vulnérables et les mécanismes de recours nationaux et internationaux. Les participants prennent part à des études de cas, des ateliers pratiques et des échanges interactifs adaptés aux réalités locales.
À travers ce renforcement de capacités, l’OPC entend améliorer les compétences de son personnel afin de faciliter un meilleur accès des citoyens aux droits fondamentaux dans le Nord du pays.
