En renforçant ses restrictions sanitaires, l’Italie va exiger à tous les voyageurs européens, à partir de 16 décembre, un test négatif du coronavirus.
C’est le Premier Ministre du pays, Mario Draghi, qui a annoncé, mardi 13 décembre, que les voyageurs en provenance de l’Union Européenne qui souhaitent entrer en Italie devront soumettre, dès le 16 décembre, un test négatif au coronavirus. Toujours selon lui, les voyageurs non vaccinés devront observer une quarantaine de cinq jours après leur arrivée. Ces mesures resteront en application jusqu’au 31 janvier 2022.
En vue de renforcer les restrictions sanitaires, Il a également été décidé d’étendre les pouvoirs extraordinaires dont dispose le gouvernement jusqu’au 31 mars 2022. Ces pouvoirs, qui expirent à la fin de l’année, facilitent l’introduction d’une nouvelle législation dans la lutte contre l’épidémie de coronavirus.
l’Italie n’est pas le seul à rendre obligatoire un test négatif pour les voyageurs de l’UE. Depuis la fin de Novembre, le Portugal a décidé que toute personne entrant dans le pays par voie aérienne devait pouvoir présenter un test négatif, même les personnes entièrement vaccinées ne sont exemptes de cette mesure.
Entre-temps, le variant Omicron fait sa course en Amérique, il est déjà identifié au Canada et dans près de 30 États aux USA.
