Haïti : la FHF alerte sur l’occupation du Centre FIFA Goal par le gang 400 Mawozo
La Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF) a exprimé ses vives préoccupations suite à l’occupation, le dimanche 9 février 2025, du Centre FIFA Goal à Croix-des-Bouquets par des membres du gang 400 Mawozo. Dans une déclaration publiée le lundi 10 février, la FHF a dénoncé cet acte qui constitue une menace sérieuse pour le développement du football en Haïti.
Le Centre FIFA Goal, un site crucial pour la formation des jeunes talents et la lutte contre la délinquance juvénile, a été pris en otage dans un contexte déjà difficile pour le sport haïtien. L’occupation de ce centre survient après la perte du Stade Sylvio Cator, soulignant la fragilité des infrastructures sportives du pays.
La FHF a condamné cette occupation illégale, rappelant que le centre n’appartient ni à une institution, ni à une administration, mais à la jeunesse haïtienne. Elle a mis en garde contre les dangers que cet acte représente sur les efforts de stabilité sociale et de paix, auxquels le sport joue un rôle fondamental.
La Fédération appelle instamment les autorités nationales et internationales à prendre des mesures urgentes pour sécuriser le site et garantir sa restitution. Elle souligne l’importance vitale de préserver ce centre, symbole d’espoir pour la jeunesse haïtienne et moteur de développement du football dans le pays.
Enfin, la FHF appelle tous les acteurs concernés à respecter la vocation du Centre FIFA Goal et à protéger son avenir, réaffirmant son engagement pour la préservation des infrastructures sportives essentielles à la progression des jeunes athlètes haïtiens.
