La rentrée scolaire 2025-2026 a officiellement débuté, ce mercredi 1er octobre, dans le pays. Dans le département du Centre, principalement à Mirebalais et à Saut-deau, la rentrée est impossible à la suite de la menace des gangs. Les séquelles des attaques freinent toujours la reprise des cours, perturbant élèves, enseignants et services éducatifs. À Hinche, Lascahobas et Belladère, toutes les écoles n’ont pas encore repris. Cette rentrée montre l’impact des violences sur l’éducation dans le Plateau Central.
En effet, la rentrée scolaire 2025-2026 a eu lieu principalement à Hinche, dans une ambiance marquée par les uniformes colorés et les traditions congréganistes. Cependant, toutes les écoles de la ville n’ont pas repris et plusieurs communes du département du Centre peinent à renouer avec une dynamique scolaire régulière. Comme chaque année, certaines écoles congréganistes de Hinche ont organisé une messe, la veille, pour marquer le retour en classe. Ce matin, on peut voir plusieurs élèves en uniforme dans les rues de la capitale départementale, traduisant une reprise effective, mais partielle.
À Mirebalais et à Saut-d’Eau, la rentrée n’est pas encore amorcée. Ces communes subissent toujours les séquelles des attaques menées par la coalition criminelle Viv Ansanm, dont la récente attaque remonte au 31 mars 2025. Le poste de police et la prison de Mirebalais avaient été attaqués, et plusieurs maisons et véhicules incendiés. L’Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais reste, jusqu’à ce jour, dysfonctionnel. Notons que Hinche accueille également des familles déplacées dans des centres improvisés, rappelant les impacts de l’insécurité sur la vie communautaire. À Lascahobas comme à Belladère, la vigilance reste élevée après l’attaque du 3 juillet dernier, qui avait interrompu les examens officiels.
Si Hinche affiche une reprise visible, celle-ci reste partielle, et le département du Centre continue de subir les conséquences de la violence armée. Déplacements de populations, infrastructures affaiblies et climat d’insécurité montrent que la rentrée scolaire reste inégale et fragile.
