Le Ministère du Commerce et de l’Industrie (MCI) et la Conférence des Nations Unies sur le Commerce et le Développement (CNUCED) ont tenu, le 16 mars 2026 à Port-au-Prince, une réunion technique. Cette rencontre s’inscrit dans les efforts de relance économique nationale.
Selon un communiqué de presse dudit ministère, les deux institutions veulent renforcer leur coopération en matière d’investissement et d’entrepreneuriat. L’initiative s’aligne sur les priorités fixées par le gouvernement sous l’impulsion du Premier ministre Alix Didier Fils-Aimé.
Au cours des échanges, plusieurs pistes d’intervention ont été abordées. Elles visent à soutenir l’activité économique et à structurer un partenariat durable. Les discussions portent notamment sur l’appui à l’entrepreneuriat féminin et à l’insertion professionnelle des jeunes. Le développement de l’innovation, à travers les startups, figure également parmi les axes prioritaires.
De son côté, la CNUCED prévoit un accompagnement technique. Celui-ci inclut des formations et des ateliers sur les politiques d’investissement. L’agence onusienne entend renforcer les capacités de l’administration publique et d’améliorer l’efficacité des actions engagées.
Les deux parties envisagent aussi la mise en place d’un guichet unique pour les investisseurs. Ce dispositif doit simplifier les démarches administratives et améliore le climat des affaires. Il sera placé sous la responsabilité du Centre de Facilitation des Investissements (CFI).
Par ailleurs, le développement du numérique a été identifié comme un levier stratégique. Les autorités souhaitent s’appuyer sur ce secteur pour attirer davantage d’investissements.
Les responsables estiment que cette réunion marque une étape importante. Elle devrait contribuer à une coopération plus étroite entre le MCI et la CNUCED, en faveur d’une relance économique structurée et durable.
