Un collectif d’associations haïtiennes en France ont organisé un grand colloque international les 13 et 14 janvier 2024, à la Bourse du travail de Saint Denis ( Porte de Paris en France) autour du thème : » Kanal la Pap Kanpe » et l’insécurité en Haïti. Au cours de ces 2 journées du colloque, la construction du canal sur la rivière massacre a été au cœur des débats. La porte-parole du comité de gestion des travaux du canal, l’architecte Wideline PIERRE était l’invitée d’honneur à ce grand colloque.
Cette activité vise à analyser avec des spécialistes de différents domaines, tous les paramètres techniques; juridiques; politiques et socio-économiques concernant ces deux problématiques : 1) Les travaux de construction du canal d’irrigation de la rivière Massacre aux environs de la ville de Ouanaminthe située à la frontière avec la République Dominicaine
2) Un éventuel déploiement d’une force multinationale en Haiti, suivant la résolution des Nations Unies du 2 octobre 2023.
Ces analyses doivent permettre de mieux appréhender les causes et les conséquences de
la gestion de ces problèmes engendrées par le délitement de l’État haïtien.
Le canal a dévoilé surtout, cette figure, Wideline PIERRE, Porte parole du Comité KPK, qui a quitté l’administration du Premier Ministre de facto Ariel Henry pour se retrouver dans cette position, non pas de manière calculée, mais par la force des choses qui a suscité une spirale d’événements. Elle n’avait pas anticipé toutes les attaques, complots ni déchaînement du Président dominicain, Luis Abinader. Elle est devenue une héroïne. Elle est, à n’en pas douter, un modèle dans l’exercice d’un pouvoir populaire.
L’architecte Wideline PIERRE très impliquée dans la construction du Canal a été honorée au
regard de son travail fabuleux. Ce qui a permis de constater cet engouement, cette motivation de tous les Haïtiens à s’impliquer dans tous les problèmes d’Haïti. Afin de mieux entrevoir une approche plus valorisante de notre prise de conscience sur
différentes phases et conduites des secteurs régaliens de leur pays.
Lors de son intervention, la porte-parole du comité a fait savoir que le Canal représente pour les haïtiens un symbole de résistance face à l’ingérence dominicaine. Elle encourage le peuple haïtien à se servir de l’exemple de la solidarité entre les haïtiens à la construction du canal d’irrigation sur la rivière Massacre, pour sortir le pays de ce marasme. Elle a profité de son passage en France pour aborder avec beaucoup de tacts le contexte du conflit haitiano-dominicain et a répondu à de nombreuses questions sur la construction du Canal d’irrigation de la plaine du Haut Maribaho.
