Belensky Joseph Saint Juste a gagné le concours national de beat (logo sonore), de l’hymne européenne, organisé par la Délégation de l’Union Européenne en Haïti (DUE). Son beat fera l’objet d’enregistrement professionnel et sera adapté pour une diffusion efficace sur diverses plateformes.
Lors d’une cérémonie de remise de prix organisée le mercredi 13 décembre 2023 au restaurant La Réserve à Pétion-Ville, l’Union Européenne a dévoilé le gagnant dudit concours. Belensky Saint Juste, originaire de Port-au-Prince, est le champion et il a gagné 1.500 dollars USD. Le Capois Clay Charles est le deuxième gagnant et le Port-au-Princien, Francky Delamour a clôturé le podium des finalistes. Les deux derniers recevront respectivement un chèque de 600 et de 400 dollars USD.
Dans son discours, le représentant de l’Union Européenne en Haïti, Stefano Gatto, a déclaré que près d’une cinquantaine de candidats ont postulé mais 48 d’entres eux ont été éligibles. Il a félicité les participants spécialement les 3 finalistes qui, dit-il, ont fait un travail titanesque.
Par ailleurs, il a précisé que ce concours vise à doter la délégation d’une identité sonore distinctive et mémorable qui incarne ses valeurs fondamentales. Il croit qu’à travers cette initiative l’hymne de l’UE aura une saveur haïtienne afin de rapprocher les peuples.
Le champion du concours, Belensky Joseph Saint Juste, n’a pas caché son contentement après avoir gagné ce prix. Il a applaudit la Délégation de l’Union Européenne en Haïti pour cette initiative qui consiste à mettre les productions des beatmakers et compositeurs haïtiens sous le feux des projecteurs.
Plusieurs grandes figures dont le gestionnaire de programmes à la Délégation de l’Union Européenne en Haïti, Jorge Bastino, la chanteuse Eunide Eudouarin dit Princess Eud, Stanley Figaro, journaliste à Radio Métropole; Sabrina Petrecchia, gestionnaire de programmes à la Délégation de l’Union Européenne; Fabrice Rouzier, pianiste, producteur ont composé le jury de ce grand concours de beat.
