Dans la matinée du lundi 6 février 2023, un séisme de magnitude 7.8 a frappé la Turquie, près de la ville de Gaziantep, ainsi qu’une partie de la Syrie. Un bilan provisoire fait était de 2300 morts. Un autre séisme de magnitude 7.5 a été ressenti un peu plus tard au Sud-Est de la Turquie.
Les secours s’activent à Diyarbakir après qu’un violent séisme a touché la Turquie ce lundi. D’après l’Institut d’études géologiques des États-Unis (USGS), le tremblement de terre a eu lieu à 4h17(heure locale), à une profondeur d’environ 17,9 kilomètres. Une large partie du Nord de la Syrie a été aussi touchée par ce cataclysme. Le bilan partiel, qui ne cesse de s’agrandir, évoque plus de 2000 morts, des milliers de blessés et des centaines de disparus.
Dix heures après le premier séisme de magnitude 7.8, la course contre la montre se poursuit dans le but d’aider les personnes coincées dans les décombres. « Il y a encore des gens coincés dans les décombres », a expliqué un habitant au micro de BFMTV.
Pour l’instant, les opérations de sauvetage se renforcent avec des centaines de secouristes venus de plusieurs pays, comme la France, les Pays-bas et la Roumanie.
