Le Collège Andrew Grene (CAG), situé à Cité Soleil, plus précisément au Village des Rapatriés Haïtiens, franchit une nouvelle étape dans son engagement éducatif en intégrant un programme entrepreneurial à son curriculum. Cette initiative est portée par la Fondation Andrew Grene (AGF) et l’IPEDH en collaboration avec Clé Haïti. Elle vise à inculquer l’esprit d’entreprise aux élèves et à leur fournir des outils nécessaires pour devenir leaders et entrepreneurs en Haïti.
Depuis sa création, le CAG s’est imposé comme une référence académique. L’établissement affiche un taux de réussite de 100 % aux examens d’État. Ses diplômés intègrent avec succès des institutions prestigieuses telles que l’Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH), l’Université Quisqueya (UNIQ) et l’Université Autonome de Port-au-Prince (UNAP). Ils bénéficient également de programmes de bourses comme HELP, qui leur offrent de nouvelles perspectives académiques et professionnelles.
Grâce à la vision de Ricot PIERRE, Directeur général de l’école et président de l’IPEDH, le collège offre une éducation de qualité. Il allie formation académique et engagement citoyen. Cette approche est rendue possible par l’implication d’une équipe pédagogique engagée et soucieuse du développement intégral des élèves.
Un programme entrepreneurial novateur
Ce programme inédit a été conçu grâce à Tim PERUTZ, co-directeur de la Fondation Andrew Grene, qui souhaite ancrer durablement la culture entrepreneuriale dans l’école. Pour cela, une quinzaine d’anciens élèves ont été formés en entrepreneuriat par CLE Haïti, un partenaire clé du projet.
Parmi eux, Darius DORESCAR, entrepreneur dans le secteur de l’apiculture, a été désigné directeur du programme. Il enseigne désormais l’entrepreneuriat aux élèves de la 7e année à la Terminale. Valencia ALCIMÉ, ancienne boursière HELP et étudiante en Administration des Affaires, apporte également son soutien. Elle intervient en tant qu’Assistante technique bénévole dans le cadre du programme.
Un engagement fort et un héritage inspirant
Les anciens élèves du CAG, aujourd’hui professionnels dans divers domaines, continuent de soutenir l’école. Récemment, ils ont récompensé 25 étudiants qui poursuivent leurs études universitaires malgré les difficultés. En parallèle, 66 autres élèves ont reçu des certificats d’honneur et de mérite. Cette solidarité illustre l’impact de l’éducation dispensée au Collège Andrew Grene et le lien fort entre ses membres.
L’établissement rend hommage à Andrew GRENE, ancien officier des Nations Unies, disparu lors du séisme du 12 janvier 2010. Convaincu que Haïti devait être une terre d’opportunités pour ses jeunes, son engagement se perpétue à travers cette école. La Fondation Digicel, partenaire historique du projet, reste un soutien moral essentiel pour la pérennisation de cette initiative éducative.
