L’Office National d’Identification (ONI) apporte un démenti formel concernant les rumeurs faisant croire qu’elle exige des frais pour l’obtention de la Carte d’Identification Nationale. L’ONI invite les personnes victime de cette escroquerie à le signaler aux autorités compétentes.
Dans une note rendue publique ce 17 Juin 2024, l’ONI informe que la Carte d’Identification Nationale (CIN) est et reste entièrement gratuite. Cependant, l’institution attire l’attention de la population sur des réseaux de racketteurs qui extorquent les demandeurs de service.
L’institution dénonce ces individus mal intentionnés se faisant passer pour des agents de l’ONI, qui exigent de l’argent aux demandeurs de cette pièce d’identité.
« Aucun frais ne doit être exigé pour l’obtention de ladite Carte », a souligné l’institution chargée de la production et de l’émission de la CIN.
« Toute demande de paiement pour ce service est illégale et doit être immédiatement signalée aux autorités compétentes », recommande l’Office National d’identification.
En guise de conclusion, elle dit compter sur la collaboration de la population pour démasquer ce réseau regroupant des individus mal intentionnés.
