May Lissa Laguerre Bigord : Une visionnaire au service du protocole, du leadership et du changement social
May Lissa Laguerre Bigord n’est pas seulement une experte en protocole et en gestion d’événements. Elle incarne un modèle de femme engagée, leader et entrepreneure. Après son baccalauréat, May Lissa se lance dans des études en administration publique, puis se forme dans des domaines spécialisés. Elle obtient des diplômes en présentation radio et télé à l’ISNAC, en management et revitalisation institutionnelle, ainsi qu’en massothérapie. Mais c’est dans le domaine du protocole et de l’étiquette qu’elle trouve sa véritable vocation, obtenant récemment un diplôme international en Protocole et Étiquette qui lui permet de devenir « Experte en Protocole et Étiquette Internationale ». « Le protocole est fondamental pour garantir des échanges respectueux et harmonieux dans tous les secteurs », précise-t-elle avec conviction.
L’engagement social au cœur de sa vie
Dès son jeune âge, May Lissa se distingue par son engagement social. Issue d’une famille religieuse, elle s’investit dans son église et, à 17 ans, prend la direction d’une chorale de jeunes. « Cette expérience de leadership m’a appris à gérer des équipes et à répondre aux besoins des autres », raconte-t-elle. Cette passion pour le service se poursuit tout au long de sa vie, notamment avec la création, en 2015, de l’Agence de Protocole et de Promotion Artistique (APPART), qu’elle gère avec son ami Jeft Étienne. En parallèle, elle fonde une entreprise avec son mari, Stevenson Bigord, spécialisée dans l’impression digitale et le marketing visuel. « Notre objectif est de contribuer au développement social en soutenant des initiatives qui visent à améliorer les conditions de vie des autres », explique-t-elle.
Une femme polyvalente face aux défis de la vie
Concilier carrière professionnelle, vie familiale et engagement social n’a pas toujours été facile. « C’est un équilibre précaire entre être mère, épouse, entrepreneure et leader », admet-elle. Malgré ces défis, May Lissa réussit à maintenir l’équilibre, soutenue par son mari et sa famille. « Le soutien de ma famille est essentiel dans tout ce que je fais », souligne-t-elle.
Dans son rôle de cheffe de la commission du développement professionnel au Rotaract Port-au-Prince, elle est saluée pour son leadership et son engagement. Elle a d’ailleurs été distinguée à plusieurs reprises, dont en 2021-2022, où elle a été élue Meilleure Cheffe de Commission. « Je veux toujours faire mieux et inspirer les jeunes à s’engager », confie-t-elle.
Une vision pour Haïti : Plus de responsabilités et d’opportunités
May Lissa insiste sur l’importance de la responsabilité individuelle pour faire avancer le pays. « Haïti est un pays complexe, mais si nous arrêtons de fuir nos responsabilités et que nous nous y engageons réellement, nous pouvons créer de vrais changements », affirme-t-elle. Elle encourage les jeunes, notamment les jeunes femmes, à ne pas se laisser décourager par la situation actuelle. « Nous avons les compétences nécessaires pour aller de l’avant et être autonomes », insiste-t-elle.
Elle rêve d’une Haïti où les jeunes choisiront de contribuer à son développement plutôt que de partir à l’étranger. « Je suis convaincue qu’en travaillant ensemble, nous pouvons transformer notre environnement pour que chacun ait une chance de réussir », ajoute-t-elle.
Partager ses connaissances : Une vraie passion
« Ce que j’aime par-dessus tout dans mon travail, c’est partager mes connaissances et participer à des projets communautaires », confie May Lissa, les yeux brillants d’enthousiasme. Que ce soit en animant des séminaires ou en contribuant à des projets sociaux, elle trouve une immense satisfaction dans la réussite des autres. « Voir la satisfaction dans les yeux des bénéficiaires, c’est ce qui me motive », dit-elle.
Un avenir plein de projets ambitieux
Bien que son parcours soit déjà impressionnant, May Lissa a de nombreux projets pour l’avenir. Elle souhaite créer un centre de formation à standard international pour aider les jeunes à se développer dans différents domaines. « Mon rêve est de voir plus de jeunes, surtout des femmes, s’épanouir professionnellement et personnellement », explique-t-elle avec conviction. Elle espère aussi soutenir sa fille, une jeune auteure, dans la création d’une bibliothèque pour les enfants défavorisés.
« Le chemin n’a jamais été facile, mais chaque étape m’a permis de comprendre l’importance de la persévérance et du travail acharné », conclut-elle. Son parcours prouve qu’avec détermination et engagement, il est possible de réaliser de grandes choses, même dans les circonstances les plus difficiles.
May Lissa Laguerre Bigord incarne une femme inspirante, non seulement pour ses réussites professionnelles, mais aussi pour son engagement à changer les choses en Haïti. Son leadership, sa vision et sa volonté de contribuer au progrès sont des modèles à suivre pour les générations futures.
