Le Conseiller-Président Smith AUGUSTIN représente Haïti aux Jeux Olympiques de 2024 à Paris
Le Conseiller-Président Smith AUGUSTIN a quitté Haïti pour assister à l’ouverture des Jeux Olympiques de Paris, prévue le 26 juillet 2024. Cette visite a pour objectif de promouvoir le sport, le développement durable et les Relations Internationales du pays.
Lors de son séjour, M. Augustin rencontrera Louise Mushikiwabo, Secrétaire Générale de l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). Cette rencontre représente une opportunité précieuse pour renforcer la coopération entre les pays membres de l’OIF et explorer des initiatives conjointes.
M. Augustin participera également au Sommet sur le sport et le développement durable. Ce sommet réunira des leaders mondiaux pour discuter des synergies entre le sport, le développement économique et écologique. En outre, un dîner, en son honneur, sera organisé par le Président du Comité Olympique International, soulignant l’importance des relations entre Haïti et le mouvement olympique international.
Durant son séjour, M. Augustin tiendra des rencontres bilatérales avec des représentants de pays partenaires. Ces discussions porteront sur des projets communs et visent à renforcer les relations franco-haïtiennes. Il sera également présent à une réception offerte par le Président Emmanuel Macron, favorisant ainsi les liens diplomatiques entre la France et Haïti.
Enfin, l’ex-Ambassadeur d’Haiti en République Dominicaine s’entretiendra avec des représentants de la communauté haïtienne en France. Cette rencontre abordera les réformes constitutionnelles à venir en Haïti et écoutera les préoccupations et suggestions de la diaspora haïtienne. Cet échange est essentiel pour maintenir un lien fort entre Haïti et ses ressortissants à l’étranger.
Le Conseiller-Président est déterminé à saisir cette opportunité pour renforcer les Relations Internationales et faire rayonner Haïti sur la scène mondiale, à en croire un communiqué publié par le bureau de communication de la Présidence haïtienne.
