Des universités utilisent les nouvelles technologies comme moyen de permettre aux étudiants de poursuivre le cursus d’enseignement supérieur. Face aux problèmes liés à l’insécurité et la violence armée, de plus en plus de centres universitaires dispensent les cours à distance. Une méthode qui paraît très complexe pour les apprenants qui n’arrivent pas à s’adapter.
Depuis 2020, à cause du coronavirus (Covid-19), les universités (privées et publiques) entrent dans une logique de cours en ligne afin de pallier aux heures perdues en présentiel par les étudiants. Mais, selon le témoignage des étudiants, les moyens pour dispenser ces cours ne sont pas adéquats.
Les cours en ligne, une grande perte de temps
Plusieurs étudiants contactés par notre rédaction expriment leurs désaccords par rapport à cette politique qui, selon eux, est impossible en Haïti
» On n’a pas d’électricité, l’internet n’est pas de qualité, comment pouvons nous participer à des cours en lignes dans de telles situations », a déclaré un étudiant d’une université de la capitale.
“ Parfois il est difficile de comprendre un cours en présentiel donc, il est dix fois plus difficile à distance. Le courant passe plus mal à distance qu’en présentiel ”, poursuit-il.
Un membre du décanat d’une université de la capitale joint au téléphone par notre rédaction a précisé que les responsables connaissent les désavantages des cours en lignes mais selon lui c’est le seul moyen pour pouvoir achever avec l’année surtout dans les situations actuelles. Il croit que les étudiants haïtiens doivent s’habituer avec cette méthode car, précise t-il, les nouvelles technologies font partie des pré-requis pour une éducation de qualité.
L’enseignement supérieur devrait être le mieux donné dans le pays, car il permet aux apprenants d’affronter le marché du travail. Pour dispenser ces cours plusieurs aspects devraient être considérés. La question d’internet, l’électricité entre autres, éléments qui sont essentiels pour l’apprentissage à distance.
Tout compte fait, entre crise socio politique et surtout la terreur des gangs armés qui règne dans la capitale Haïtienne, quel est le sort réel des apprenants?
Les cours en ligne devraient certainement permettre aux apprenants de rattraper les heures perdues. Mais, quand est-il de ceux qui ne peuvent pas y participer à cause des problèmes mentionnés ci-dessus?
Les cours en ligne dans les universités en Haïti ne sont-ils pas une arme à double tranchant? Déjà l’université en Haïti a toujours été un grand luxe pour plus d’un, car les universités publiques ne prennent pas une quantité considérable tandis que les privés sont beaoucoup trop chère pour la masse défavorisée surtout.
