Le Premier ministre, Garry CONILLE, a eu une rencontre le 24 juillet 2024, à la Résidence Officielle, avec des représentants du Réseau National des Médias en ligne (RENAMEL) et l’Association Haïtienne des Médias en ligne (AHML). Si la Primature a annoncé que les discussions se sont tournées autour de la crise socio sécuritaire actuelle du pays, la question ne se résumait pas à la sécurité, mais des non-dits sont restés dans le secret des dieux.
Au lendemain de sa rencontre avec les patrons et responsables des médias en ligne issus de l’AHML et le RENAMEL, le Premier ministre Garry Conille a déclaré sur les ondes de la Radio Caraïbes que le système détient ses propres journalistes pour mettre dans l’ombre les réalisations du gouvernement. Toutefois, il avoue que son gouvernement dispose aussi des journalistes.
Si dans le communiqué de presse, le locataire de la Primature avait précisé que l’objectif de la rencontre avec les médias en ligne était de créer un espace de discussions entre les médias en ligne et le gouvernement, son intervention, sur les ondes du 94.5 FM stéréo, montre que celle-ci avait d’autres objectifs non précisés.
«La réussite de l’état d’urgence sécuritaire au cours de la transition dépend aussi, en partie, de la Presse et des médias en ligne », a expliqué le Dr Garry CONILLE.
Selon le Chef du gouvernement, les médias en ligne et les influenceurs ont une grande importance dans la résolution de la crise socio sécuritaire actuelle. Mais ne cherche-t-il pas à profiter de l’influence des médias à des fins propagandistes ?
«C’est un engagement citoyen et socioprofessionnel de s’autoréguler et de se responsabiliser face à la crise globale qui sévit actuellement en Haïti», ont soutenu les représentants des médias en ligne. Toutefois, selon les informations dont nous disposons, environ 24 heures après leur entretien avec le Chef du Gouvernement, les responsables de ces associations ont convoqué leurs membres à des réunions.
Le Premier ministre Garry CONILLE se lance dans une lutte acharnée avec le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT), en matière de communication. Il a déjà opéré des changements dans la direction de communication de la Primature où il a désigné une nouvelle directrice de communication et nommé aussi son propre porte-parole.
Le gouvernement de transition, dirigé par Garry CONILLE, veut utiliser la propagande comme moyen pour vendre une image saine de son gouvernement alors que le gouvernement a, jusqu’à date, un bilan zéro. La bataille communicationnelle s’annonce rude entre la Primature et le CPT alors que ces deux têtes de l’exécutif n’ont pas atterri, car plus de 30 jours à la tête du pays le constat reste comme tel au temps du Roi Ariel HENRY.
