À l’approche de la fête de l’Agriculture et du Travail, le Parti Politique Pèp La Dakò (PLD) alerte sur la détérioration continue des conditions de vie en Haïti et appelle les autorités à des actions concrètes en faveur du secteur agricole. Dans une note publiée le mardi 29 avril 2025, le parti dénonce « l’inaction de l’État » face à la crise qui frappe durement la population, en particulier les jeunes professionnels, contraints de quitter le pays par manque de perspectives.
Le PLD invoque la Constitution amendée de 1987 pour rappeler que l’État a l’obligation d’assurer à chaque citoyen le droit au travail dans la dignité (article 35), ainsi que l’égalité entre les sexes en matière d’emploi et de rémunération (article 35-2). Des principes, selon le parti, qui ne sont plus respectés.
Il cite également l’article 23 de la Déclaration universelle des droits de l’homme (DUDH), qui consacre le droit au travail et à une rémunération équitable. Le PLD estime qu’avec près de quatre millions de personnes en insécurité alimentaire, l’urgence est à une politique active de création d’emplois, notamment par le biais de l’agriculture.
Pour ce faire, le parti propose un ensemble de mesures : distribution de matériel, accès au crédit, soutien technique et relance de mécanismes d’accompagnement jadis pratiqués par l’État. Le PLD considère que seul un appui soutenu à l’agriculture pourra offrir des emplois durables et amorcer une véritable relance économique.
Enfin, le parti appelle à rompre avec les « discours sans suite » et presse les autorités à passer à l’action en faveur des travailleurs et des paysans haïtiens.
