Renforcement des capacités de la PNH : Un Nouveau soutien matériel des États-Unis
Le Président du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT), Leslie VOLTAIRE, a reçu un important lot de matériels destinés à la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH). La cérémonie s’est tenue, le lundi 10 février 2025, au local de la Direction Générale de la PNH, située à Clercine, commune de Tabarre. Ce don vise à renforcer les capacités opérationnelles de l’institution.
Plusieurs personnalités ont assisté à l’événement, notamment le Président du CPT, l’Ambassadeur des États-Unis en Haïti, le Commandant en Chef par intérim de la PNH et son Directeur de cabinet. Étaient également présents le Directeur Central de l’Administration et des Services Généraux (DCASG), ainsi que le Commandant de la Mission Multinationale d’Appui à la Sécurité (MMAS).
Ce don s’inscrit dans le cadre de la coopération entre l’Ambassade américaine et la PNH, avec le soutien du Bureau de l’International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). Son objectif est d’aider la police à lutter contre la criminalité transnationale qui affecte gravement le pays.
Les équipements remis comprennent un lowboy, deux backhoe-loaders, deux loaders et deux têtes de camions. À cela s’ajoutent neuf véhicules et 600 fusils. Ces matériels renforceront la logistique et la mobilité des forces de l’ordre.
Bien que la PNH ait reçu divers équipements pour faire face aux dérives causées par les bandits armés dans les zones métropolitaines, elle reste encore sous-équipée pour contrer efficacement les menaces.
