Suite à leur investiture au sein du cabinet ministériel à la Villa d’Accueil, la cérémonie d’installation de plusieurs membres du nouveau gouvernement, parmi lesquels le professeur Antoine Augustin en tant que ministre de l’Éducation nationale et de la Formation professionnelle, a eu lieu hier, mercredi 12 juin 2024.
La cérémonie a été présidée par maître Carlos Hercule, ministre de la Justice et de la sécurité publique. Dans son allocution, le ministre a souligné les compétences professionnelles du professeur Antoine Augustin dans le domaine de l’éducation, affirmant qu’il était le candidat idéal pour occuper ce poste ministériel. Il a également insisté sur l’importance d’avoir un technicien compétent à la tête de ce ministère.
Le ministre Hercule a évoqué les défis auxquels le nouveau ministre de l’Éducation nationale devra faire face, notamment la réinstallation des écoles dans leurs locaux d’origine pour permettre aux élèves de retrouver un environnement sûr et propice à l’apprentissage.
Dans son discours d’ouverture, le nouveau ministre de l’Éducation nationale et de la Formation professionnelle a exprimé sa gratitude envers les membres du Conseil présidentiel et le Premier ministre Garry Conille pour l’avoir choisi pour ce poste. Il a également promis d’exercer ses fonctions avec engagement et humilité, en mettant à profit ses nombreuses années d’expérience dans le domaine de l’éducation.
Le ministre Augustin a annoncé son intention de consulter les différentes parties prenantes du secteur éducatif afin de trouver des solutions aux problèmes rencontrés par le ministère et de renforcer le système éducatif du pays.
En conclusion, le ministre Augustin a déclaré qu’il prendrait des mesures concrètes pour répondre aux défis du ministère et du secteur éducatif dans son ensemble.
Outre le ministre Carlos Hercule, d’autres membres du gouvernement ont également assisté à la cérémonie d’installation, démontrant ainsi leur engagement à travailler ensemble pour améliorer les conditions de vie en Haïti.
