Une nouvelle pénurie des produits pétroliers est observée dans les stations-services de la capitale. Une rareté qui fait augmenter les prix des transports en commun déjà à la hausse à cause de la situation sécuritaire du pays.
Depuis plusieurs semaines, Haïti fait face à une nouvelle saison de rareté de carburant. À mesure que les jours passent, les produits pétroliers deviennent de plus en plus rares. Dans certaines pompes à essence, on ne remarque pas la distribution du carburant, dans d’autres, des centaines d’automobilistes et de motocyclistes font la queue pendant de longues heures pour pouvoir s’alimenter.
Parallèlement, si les produits pétroliers, notamment la gazoline, est presque indisponible dans les stations-services pour desservir la population, s’alimenter sur les trottoirs de la capitale reste donc la seule issue.
Dans les rues, des vendeurs livrent les dits produits à des prix exorbitants. Le coût du carburant dans les coins de la région métropolitaine est doublé, et parfois triplé au prix officiel. La vente des produits pétroliers sur le marché informel est donc désavantageuse pour les consommateurs et est au profit des petits vendeurs détaillants. En dépit des mesures prises par le gouvernement pour affronter la situation, la spéculation illicite des produits pétroliers reste toujours un problème à résoudre.
Par ailleurs, en raison de la rareté, les tarifs des transports en commun connaissent une hausse généralisée. Ce qui fait grincer des dents les usagers. «Avec la flambée des prix des produits de première nécessité, l’augmentation des prix des transports nous cause beaucoup plus de difficultés», a martelé un passager.
De leurs côtés, les chauffeurs affirment être dans l’obligation d’augmenter le coût des transports. « Nous sommes contraints d’ajuster les prix, et ce, malgré les difficultés que nous rencontrons avec les passagers au quotidien », a précisé un automobiliste.
Selon l’Association des Propriétaires des Stations-Services (ANAPROSS), les commandes de produits pétroliers devraient arriver en Haïti dans 15 jours. Marc André Deriphonse, membre de l’ANAPROSS, affirme qu’il y’a un bras de fer entre les compagnies pétrolières et l’État haïtien, sans donner beaucoup plus de précisions.
En guise de rappel, depuis des années, la rareté des produits pétroliers s’avère être un problème affectant tous les secteurs de la vie nationale. Jusqu’à date, aucune solution définitive n’a été prise de la part de l’État haïtien pour pallier ce problème.
