Haïti-Environnement : Emmanuel Vertillaire en première ligne face aux inondations
Le Cap-Haïtien subit des inondations d’une ampleur alarmante à la suite des pluies torrentielles qui ont frappé la région ces derniers jours. Ces intempéries ont causé des dégâts considérables, submergeant plusieurs quartiers et paralysant des infrastructures vitales. La route nationale numéro 3, particulièrement touchée au niveau du Morne Grand-Gilles, est impraticable, compliquant les déplacements et l’acheminement de l’aide dans les zones les plus touchées.
Pour faire face à cette crise, le Conseiller-Président Emmanuel VERTILLAIRE a immédiatement mobilisé son cabinet pour coordonner une réponse d’urgence avec les ministères et les autorités locales. Ces efforts incluent l’évacuation des sinistrés, la distribution de vivres et d’eau potable, et la mise en place d’abris temporaires. Une attention particulière est portée à la restauration des infrastructures critiques pour rétablir les communications terrestres et garantir l’accès des secours.
SEM Emmanuel VERTILLAIRE a exprimé son engagement à mobiliser tous les moyens nécessaires pour limiter les impacts de cette catastrophe. « Ces inondations témoignent une fois de plus de notre vulnérabilité. Nous devons agir avec urgence et efficacité pour protéger nos populations et leurs biens », a-t-il déclaré, tout en appelant à une solidarité nationale et à une coordination efficace entre les différentes instances.
Emmanuel VERTILLAIRE a réaffirmé sa volonté de travailler avec ses collègues du gouvernement pour répondre à l’urgence immédiate tout en envisageant des solutions durables pour éviter que de telles situations ne se reproduisent.
