La grande première du Salon du Livre de Port-au-Prince est fixé pour le 15 décembre 2023, de 10h 30 AM à 4h PM, au Centre Culturel Caraïbes. Ce rendez-vous littéraire vise à promouvoir la littérature haïtienne et mettre les jeunes écrivains sous le feux des projecteurs.
« À la rencontre des jeunes auteurs », c’est autour de ce thème que la capitale haïtienne accueillera la première édition du Salon du Livre de Port-au-Prince. Près d’une quinzaine de jeunes auteurs auront l’occasion de se faire dévoiler au grand public Port-au-Princien. Des écrivains et écrivaines méconnus vont pouvoir profiter de ce podium pour faire briller leur talent.
Conférences-débats, causeries et ventes, signatures, animations culturelles, entre autres seront au menu de cet événement. L’objectif de ce Salon du Livre est de permettre aux amoureux de la lecture de faire connaissance à la nouvelle génération d’auteurs et visibiliser les nouvelles maisons d’édition.
Le coordonnateur du projet, Emmanuel Pacorme a fait savoir qu’à travers cette initiative il se donne une double mission. En premier lieu, faire connaître aux lecteurs une nouvelle génération d’auteurs en facilitant la circulation des œuvres de ces derniers puis donner l’occasion aux éditeurs de s’exprimer sur les difficultés du secteur littéraire haïtien.
Jean Baptiste Anivince, James Francisque, Eugène Jennifer, Adeline Bonhomme, Carl Henry Burin, Luis Bernard Henry, Litainé Laguerre, Frantzley Valbrun, Franckson Alcide, Inéma jeudi, Xaviera R. Élie, Rachel Vorbes sont entre autres jeunes écrivains et écrivaines, considéré comme étoiles montantes de la littérature haïtienne, que le public aura l’occasion de découvrir les plumes magiques.
Ce projet vise à offrir un lieu de rencontre entre les lecteurs et les auteurs en signature. Les initiataires invitent le public à prendre part à cet événement rayonnant et incontournable.
