Face à la montée de l’insécurité, le Gouvernement de Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ a annoncé une politique de tolérance zéro contre le banditisme, réaffirmant sa détermination à rétablir l’ordre et à garantir la sécurité sur l’ensemble du territoire. L’annonce a été faite, ce mercredi 13 août 2025, dans un communiqué officiel.
La veille, le Premier Ministre Alix Didier FILS-AIMÉ, accompagné des Ministres de la Justice, de la Sécurité publique et de la Défense, du Secrétaire d’État à la Sécurité publique, Mario ANDRESOL, et du Directeur Général a.i. de la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH), André Jonas Vladimir PARAISON, a présidé une réunion de haut niveau consacrée à l’évaluation et au renforcement des dispositifs sécuritaires. Cette rencontre intervient quelques jours après la déclaration de l’état d’urgence dans les départements du Centre, de l’Ouest et de l’Artibonite, particulièrement touchés par les violences armées.
Selon le communiqué, aucune zone du pays ne sera hors de portée de l’autorité de l’État, et la lutte contre la criminalité organisée sera menée sans relâche.
Pourtant, malgré l’annonce de ces mesures, plusieurs incidents armés ont encore été signalés dans la zone métropolitaine dès le lendemain, dont une attaque contre un blindé de la PNH à Kenscoff. Les autorités affirment que les résultats de cette nouvelle stratégie se feront sentir dans les prochains jours.
Cette nouvelle déclaration de fermeté intervient dans un contexte où les gangs armés contrôlent encore de vastes zones du territoire, paralysent les axes routiers stratégiques et provoquent des déplacements massifs de population. Malgré l’appui international et les récentes initiatives de la PNH, la restauration d’un climat de sécurité durable reste l’un des plus grands défis de l’État haïtien.
