Les Conseillers Présidentiels Frinel Joseph et Fritz Alphonse Jean ont rencontré les représentants du secteur vodou haïtien ce samedi 3 août 2024, à la Villa d’Accueil. Parmi les participants figuraient des représentants des organisations vodou Zantray, AJAV, KNVA et Wayom Vodou d’Ayiti.
L’objectif de cette rencontre était de parvenir à un consensus pour désigner un représentant unique du secteur vodou au sein du nouveau Conseil Électoral Provisoire (CEP). Cette démarche s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’accord du 3 avril 2024, qui vise à faciliter la formation du CEP en vue de l’organisation des prochaines élections pour le renouvellement du personnel politique d’ici 2025.
Le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition a jugé nécessaire de réunir les différentes factions du secteur vodou afin de favoriser un dialogue et d’éviter les divisions internes. Malheureusement, les représentants des différentes organisations n’ont pas réussi à s’entendre sur le choix d’un candidat unique lors de cette première rencontre.
Il a été convenu que le secteur vodou devrait soumettre le nom de leur représentant au CPT d’ici le 8 août 2024. Cette décision est cruciale pour assurer une représentation équitable et inclusive au sein du CEP, garantissant ainsi la transparence et la légitimité des prochaines élections.
Les Conseillers Présidentiels ont exprimé leur espoir de voir le secteur vodou parvenir à un consensus dans les prochains jours, soulignant l’importance de l’unité et de la coopération pour le succès du processus électoral.
