Le Syndicat du Ministère de la Jeunesse, des Sports et de l’Action Civique (SMJSAC) a dénoncé, ce 29 septembre 2025, les détournements de fonds révélés dans le rapport de l’Unité de Lutte Contre la Corruption (ULCC). Lors d’une conférence de presse, tenue ce lundi 29 septembre 2025, ses responsables ont rappelé que l’argent public doit être destiné à la formation des jeunes et à l’amélioration des conditions de travail, et non à des intérêts privés.
Le président dudit syndicat, Isaac BAPTISTE, a pointé du doigt les difficultés persistantes des employés contractuels, pourtant jugés indispensables au bon fonctionnement du secteur. Il a souligné que son organisation se sent directement concernée par les conclusions du rapport de l’ULCC et appelle à une enquête judiciaire « indépendante et rapide », assortie de sanctions contre les responsables identifiés.
Le SMJSAC demande également des explications sur certaines nominations considérées comme irrégulières, qui auraient aggravé le déséquilibre budgétaire et fragilisé davantage la situation des contractuels.
Selon Monsieur BAPTISTE, les autorités doivent assumer pleinement leurs responsabilités : « Seule une gestion intègre et une lutte cohérente contre la corruption permettront de remettre le pays sur la voie du développement », a-t-il affirmé.
Pour conclure, Isaac BAPTISTE a rappelé que la mission de son organisation demeure la défense des travailleurs, la protection de leur dignité et la promotion de la transparence dans la gestion publique.
