Le Ministre des Affaires Sociales et du Travail, Georges Wilbert FRANCK, a détaillé un ensemble de mesures économiques et sociales pour accompagner les familles haïtiennes pendant la rentrée scolaire 2025-2026, lors de la 25e édition des Mardis de la Nation, tenue hier mardi 14 octobre 2025. Dans sa liste, libération d’écoles occupées par les Personnes Déplacées Internes (PDI), transferts monétaires à plus de cent mille parents, aide directe aux ménages vulnérables et appui spécial aux ouvriers. Selon ses dires, ces actions témoignent la volonté du Gouvernement à soutenir les plus vulnérables dans un moment économique tendu.
En effet, à l’occasion de la 25e édition des mardis de la nation, le Ministre Georges Wilbert FRANCK a dressé un bilan des actions entreprises par le Gouvernement, via son Ministère, pour garantir une rentrée scolaire inclusive. Il a parlé de la libération des écoles occupées par les Personnes Déplacées Internes (PDI). Dans le cadre du Programme d’Urgence Multisectorielle (PUM), plusieurs établissements, dont la Faculté de Linguistique, le Lycée Marie-Jeanne, le Lycée Anténor Firmin et l’École nationale Colbert Lochard, ont été restitués à leurs fonctions éducatives. Selon le Ministre, le processus de relocalisation des PDI se poursuit dans des conditions dignes.
Le Ministre a aussi souligné le soutien financier direct aux parents d’écoliers. Environ 108 000 familles ont déjà bénéficié d’un transfert de 15 000 gourdes via moncash ou natcash, sur un objectif total de 200 000 bénéficiaires. Cette initiative, toujours selon le Ministre, vise à alléger le fardeau économique lié à la préparation de la rentrée.
Parallèlement, plus de 60 000 ménages vulnérables identifiés par le Système d’information du MAST (SYMAS) recevront une aide similaire, entièrement financée par le budget national. Cette assistance, a précisé le Ministre, rentre dans le cadre d’une stratégie de protection sociale du Gouvernement.
Évoquant le monde du travail, il soutient que près de 31 000 ouvriers inscrits dans le programme bénéficieront d’un appui spécial. Il a aussi souligné que dix-neuf projets sociaux, menés conjointement par sept Ministères et le Fonds d’Assistance Économique et Sociale (FAES), complèteront ce dispositif.
En clôturant son intervention, le Ministre Georges Wilbert FRANCK a salué la coordination interinstitutionnelle ayant permis ces avancées. Il a renouvellé la volonté du Gouvernement de garantir une rentrée scolaire réussie qui, rappelons-le, est à sa troisième semaine.
