Le Premier ministre, Dr Garry Conille, a présidé la cérémonie d’installation de Madame Ketleen Florestal en tant que ministre de l’Economie et des Finances, ainsi que de la Planification et de la Coopération Externe, le 17 juin 2024. Il a souligné l’importance cruciale pour ces ministères de travailler de concert afin de relever les défis socio-économiques actuels et de promouvoir un développement durable.
Madame Ketleen Florestal, auparavant haut cadre de la fonction publique, prend la relève de Michel Patrick Boisvert à la tête du ministère de l’Economie et des Finances. Elle s’est engagée à utiliser son expertise pour stimuler la relance économique, créer des emplois et améliorer les conditions de vie de la population, tout en renforçant la coopération avec les partenaires internationaux.
En parallèle, Dr Garry Conille a mis en avant l’importance stratégique du ministère de la Planification et de la Coopération Externe, soulignant son rôle crucial dans l’économie nationale. Madame Florestal, désormais à la tête de ce ministère également, a affirmé sa volonté de promouvoir des partenariats publics-privés et de renforcer les capacités institutionnelles pour optimiser l’exécution des programmes d’investissement public.
Cette double nomination souligne l’engagement du gouvernement à coordonner efficacement les efforts entre ces ministères clés pour favoriser un développement économique et social harmonieux en Haïti.
