Voilà déjà près d’un mois depuis son installation au poste de Premier Ministre, le docteur Garry CONILLE peine encore à accoucher la marchandise qui est d’abord, rétablir la sécurité dans la cité. Néanmoins, le nouveau chef du gouvernement n’a pas manqué de faire des promesses qui, jusqu’à date, n’ont pas encore été concrétisées.
Plus d’un constate que le docteur CONILLE parle plus qu’il agit. Une situation qui pousse des habitants à comparer le nouveau locataire de la Primature avec Laurent LAMOTHE. Près d’un mois s’est écoulé depuis son installation qui coïncide avec la présence des policiers kényans, devant prendre la tête de la mission multinationale pour la sécurité, sur le sol haïtien; aucune opération policière n’a eu lieu de nature à débloquer les grands axes routiers. Le bicentenaire, Martissant, la route nationale (à hauteur de la Croix Perisse et Petit Bois d’homme) tout comme Savien, restent un cochemar pour les usagers.
Les transports en commun, qui parcourent ces zones, doivent payer pour y avoir accès.
Alors que le docteur CONILLE avait promis de reprendre le contrôle des territoires perdus maison par maison, quartier par quartier, les bandits ne sont même pas ébranlés par une telle déclaration. Au contraire, peu après cette déclaration, les cas de kidnapping ont remonté d’un cran.
Au lieu de mener des opérations drastiques de manière à démanteler les gangs, le Chef du Gouvernement, intervenant au journal du matin de la radio Caraibe, les invite à déposer les armes et emprunter la voie du fialogue. Une déclaration considérée, selon plus d’un, comme un acte de faiblesse et de lâcheté. En effet, selon eux, il revenait aux bandits d’appeler au dialogue suite à des attaques ciblées des forces de l’ordre.
“Fils d’un « papa makout » et ancien allié du régime duvaliériste, Garry CONILLE se sentirait-il faible jusqu’à demander aux bandits de rendre leurs armes gentiment”, s’interrogent des curieux. Une question qui, jusqu’à présent, est difficile à répondre.
