La confédération africaine de football a procédé, ce lundi 27 janvier 2025, au tirage au sort de la phase de groupes de la trente-cinquième édition de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations. Le groupe F, avec la Côte d’Ivoire et le Cameroun, est l’un des plus relevés de ce tournoi.
Du 21 décembre 2025 au 18 janvier 2026, le Maroc sera le théâtre de la 35e édition de la plus prestigieuse des compétitions au niveau des sélections sur le continent africain. En effet, le tirage au sort de ce tournoi a eu lieu ce lundi 27 janvier, et le pays s’est trouvé dans le groupe A en compagnie du Mali, de la Zambie et des Comores.
Voulant imiter les exploits de la Côte d’Ivoire qui avait remporté la dernière édition de la coupe d’Afrique des nations à domicile, les Lions de l’Atlas, ayant près de 50 ans depuis qu’ils n’ont pas gagné cette compétition, auront fort à faire contre les grands favoris comme l’Algérie, le Sénégal, la Côte d’Ivoire, l’Egypte ou encore le Cameroun.
À noter toutefois que la dernière et seule victoire des demi-finalistes de la coupe du monde 2022 remonte à 1976.
En guise de rappel, le groupe F, avec le champion en titre, la Côte d’Ivoire, et le Cameroun, est le groupe le plus difficile sur le papier.

– Groupe B : Égypte, Afrique du Sud, Angola, Zimbabwe
– Groupe C : Nigeria, Tunisie, Ouganda, Tanzanie
– Groupe D : Sénégal, République démocratique du Congo, Benin, Botswana
– Groupe E : Algérie, Burkina Faso, Guinée équatoriale, Soudan
– Groupe F : Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroun, Gabon, Mozambique
