Attaque meurtrière à Kenscoff : Un soldat tué et deux autres blessés
Un soldat haïtien a été tué et deux autres blessés lors d’une attaque armée à Kenscoff, tôt ce 16 février 2025. L’armée annonce avoir repris le contrôle du site et promet une réponse ferme contre les groupes criminels.
Dans un communiqué publié ce dimanche, le Ministère de la Défense informe que des soldats des Forces Armées d’Haïti (FAD’H) ont été attaqués par des hommes lourdement armés alors qu’ils assuraient la protection d’un site stratégique.
Le soldat Petit’homme Charles BÉNICTOR a perdu la vie en mission. Deux autres militaires blessés ont été pris en charge par les services médicaux. Le Gouvernement, le Haut État-Major et le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT) saluent la mémoire du défunt et expriment leur soutien à sa famille.
Face à cette attaque, les autorités affirment que des renforts ont rapidement été déployés. Les FAD’H ont repris le contrôle du site et intensifient leurs opérations pour traquer les assaillants.
Le Ministère de la Défense rappelle que l’État ne cédera pas face à la violence. Il assure que les forces de sécurité poursuivront leur mission pour protéger la population et les infrastructures stratégiques du pays.
Le Gouvernement réaffirme son engagement envers la sécurité nationale et soutient ses soldats dans l’exécution de leurs missions. L’armée haïtienne reste mobilisée face aux menaces criminelles.
