Port-au-Prince a été secouée, ce mercredi 2 avril 2025, par une nouvelle manifestation contre l’insécurité grandissante dans la capitale haïtienne. Des citoyens de divers quartiers ont envahi les rues pour exprimer leur ras-le-bol face à la violence des gangs et l’inaction des autorités.
Les manifestants, déterminés, ont marché jusqu’à la Villa d’Accueil, siège du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (#CPT), ainsi que devant la Résidence Officielle du Premier Ministre à Musseau. Malgré la légitimité des revendications populaires, les forces de l’ordre ont répondu par des tirs de gaz lacrymogène et des balles réelles pour disperser la foule.
La manifestation, surnommée «mercredi noir» par ses organisateurs, a plongé plusieurs quartiers de la capitale dans un climat de tension et de panique. Cependant, la détermination des protestataires reflète un profond désespoir d’une population qui refuse de vivre sous la menace constante des gangs armés.
Cette mobilisation s’inscrit dans une série de contestations croissantes qui secouent le pays, ces dernières semaines. De plus en plus, les citoyens exigent des actions concrètes des autorités pour restaurer la sécurité et la stabilité.
Avec l’insécurité qui ne cesse d’empirer, la question demeure : combien de temps encore les Haïtiens pourront-ils endurer cette situation ?
