Dans un communiqué publié ce lundi 5 mai 2025, l’Olympique Lyonnais Féminin a officialisé la prolongation de contrat de l’internationale haïtienne Melchie Daëlle Dumornay, plus connue sous le nom de Corventina. La jeune étoile du football haïtien est désormais liée au club jusqu’au 30 juin 2029.
Originaire de Mirebalais, Corventina a rapidement gravi les échelons du football haïtien, en passant notamment par le Centre FIFA Goal de la Croix-des-Bouquets et l’Association Sportive de Tigresse. C’est en 2021 qu’elle quitte Haïti pour rejoindre la France et le Stade de Reims, où elle s’impose rapidement. Après deux saisons convaincantes, elle signe en 2023 un contrat de trois ans avec l’OL, club phare du football féminin européen.
En moins de deux saisons à Lyon, Melchie Dumornay s’est affirmée comme une joueuse clé de l’effectif lyonnais. À 21 ans seulement, elle impressionne par sa régularité, sa vision de jeu et son efficacité offensive. En 16 matchs de Arkema Première Ligue, elle a inscrit 15 buts et délivré 6 passes décisives, tout en brillant en Ligue des champions féminine avec 6 réalisations, faisant d’elle la co-meilleure buteuse du club dans la compétition.
Ce nouveau contrat de trois saisons supplémentaires témoigne de la confiance renouvelée du club envers celle qui est devenue l’un de ses piliers, tant sur le terrain que dans le vestiaire.
Sur la page Facebook officielle de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF), les responsables ont exprimé leur fierté et adressé leurs félicitations à celle qui incarne aujourd’hui le football féminin haïtien à l’échelle mondiale.
