Les examens officiels du Baccalauréat débuteront ce lundi 5 août et prendront fin le jeudi 8 août 2024. Selon le Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle (MENFP), environ 121.006 candidats subiront ces épreuves durant ces quatre jours.
121.006 candidats sont attendus pour les examens de fin d’études secondaires à travers les dix (10) départements du pays. Ils sont répartis ainsi: environ 109 453 sont inscrits pour le Nouveau Secondaire (NS4), 10 734 pour le Bac permanent et 819 pour la Philo traditionnelle.
Selon les statistiques, le département de l’Ouest dispose du plus grand effectif avec plus de 48 000 candidats. Le premier jour des épreuves, les candidats composeront en Philosophie le matin et en Chimie l’après-midi.
De nombreux élèves ont été privés de plusieurs journées de classe en raison des violences perpétrées par les gangs, notamment dans le département de l’Ouest et dans d’autres zones fortement affectées par l’escalade de la violence.
En dépit du vent de l’insécurité qui n’arrête pas de souffler, les examens officiels auront lieu dans un contexte où l’état d’urgence sécuritaire est décrété sur plus de 10 communes de la zone métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince et du département de l’Artibonite. Il s’agit de: Gressier, Carrefour, Port-au-Prince, Cité Soleil, Delmas, Tabarre, Pétion Ville, Kenscoff, Croix des bouquets, Cabaret, Thomazeau, Petite rivière de l’Artibonite, Liancourt, Verrettes, Gros mornes.
En amont, des craintes avaient été émises en raison de l’insécurité persistante dans les zones contrôlées par les gangs. Ajoutés au stress des examens, d’autres soucis du candidat peuvent entraver la réussite. La crise sécuritaire a fortement perturbé l’année scolaire, laissant les élèves payés les conséquences.
Détonations, violence, cadavres ambulants et kidnappings. Ce sont des mots qui reviennent bien souvent quand on remémore l’année académique 2023-2024. Après avoir subi les examens officiels, la rentrée à l’université reste encore incertaine surtout dans ce contexte où la majorité des facultés de l’Université d’Etat d’Haïti (UEH), sont dysfonctionnelles en raison de la violence inouïe des gangs armés.
